Friendly staff, but some hiccups

I had a chill stay for 2 nights. The staff was super friendly, just one guy seemed kinda out of it. The breakfast was decent with plenty of choices, and I loved the picnic area for some fresh air. But the elevator was broken, and we had a fire alarm in the middle of the night due to a sprinkler bursting, which was a hassle.

Our stay was fantastic! We loved the delicious breakfast options, especially the waffles and sausage. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel like we were at home. The comfortable double queen beds were perfect for my family, including my sister. It was also close to fun spots like the University of Iowa.

My kids wished there were more breakfast choices available. The outlet situation was tricky, making it hard to charge devices. Maybe if they had checked it earlier, it would have improved our experience.

Family stay not quite there

Helpful staff and a comfy bed were the main things I liked. Though it was nice to see how they allowed early check-in when we arrived exhausted after driving straight through from South Georgia.

totally recommend

The room was pretty basic. The bed was comfortable, which is a big plus for me, especially with back issues. However, we had strange noises all night long, and when I went to the bathroom, there was this weird dripping water coming from the sink that spread into the main area. Not ideal! The room had a lingering smell of smoke, even though it’s supposed to be a non-smoking room. Overall, just didn’t have a great vibe.
